Socially impactful work

MuniFin stands as one of Finland’s largest credit institutions, but our organisation is agile and efficient. Our diverse job descriptions require both professional development and a high level of responsibility. We offer training and excellent career advancement opportunities.

Our team commends our workplace atmosphere and takes pride in the results of our work. Our remote work practices are among the most flexible in the financial sector, making it easier to strike a healthy work-life balance.

Our customers are Finnish, but our operating environment is global. Much of our work is highly international by nature. Our working language is Finnish, so all our positions require a good command of Finnish.

Our values are customer centricity, transparency and responsibility. We have a flat organisational structure and we encourage our team to discuss and share their feedback and ideas with each other.

Open positions

We are looking for customer-focused and development-minded team players who want to contribute their expertise and enthusiasm to our social mission.

One of Finland’s most inspiring workplaces

In 2023, we were ranked among Finland’s most inspiring workplaces for the second year in a row in the PeoplePower employee experience survey conducted by Eezy Flow.
“MuniFin is an agile expert organisation with an impact larger than its size would suggest. At MuniFin, everyone pulls together and has the freedom and responsibility to work in a way that best suits them. Things are well organised, colleagues are trusted and everyone is included.”

Competitive benefits

We offer our employees extensive occupational healthcare, including limited dental care and the Auntie online service that provides low-threshold preventative support for mental health. We also have broad leisure-time coverage, which includes supplemental health insurance covering specialist medical consultations. We also offer mobile phone, lunch, recreational and commuter benefits.

We base our recruitments on the candidates’ suitability, education, work experience and other qualities relevant for the position. We use a recruitment company to carry out the personnel assessments. We do not tolerate any kind of discrimination based on age, gender, religion or nationality. We use anonymous recruitment for some of our open positions to ensure fairness.

Our salaries are based on a pay grade system. The pay grade for each position is determined individually through an external assessment, which establishes the pay range for the person hired for the position. The pay grade system ensures gender-neutral pay. We monitor the sector’s salaries regularly by participating in salary surveys. We also annually review the gender pay gap in each pay grade and include these findings in our annual reports.

We encourage our employees to keep developing their skills and expertise. Each of our divisions is allocated an annual training budget to allow our employees to learn new skills or refine existing ones. We have a proprietary online training platform that has courses that are accessible to all employees. In 2023, we have increased diversity training and made it mandatory for everyone. We also host language learning groups within the company. Every employee’s training needs are assessed at least once a year during their performance appraisals. Employees may also suggest training through an internally transparent website. Our goal is for each person to have at least five training days per year.

We support employee competence through annual performance appraisals, in which we set goals for the upcoming year, pinpoint specific training needs and outline steps to achieve these goals. We regularly monitor our performance appraisal rate: in 2023, all employees except those recently hired participated in performance appraisals (93%).

We have flexible working hours to support a healthy work-life balance. Our core hours are from 10 am to 2 pm on weekdays, which leaves employees plenty of room to flexibly combine their work and personal life.

Promoting workplace equality

We monitor the general development of salaries in the financial sector and the gender pay gap in our organisation. We use Korn Ferry’s pay grade classifications to ensure equal pay for equal work, eliminating the influence of age, gender or other external factors. The pay grade assessment covers requirements such as technical expertise, planning and organisation, interaction skills, the problem-solving environment and its challenges, latitude and the scope and nature of responsibilities of the position. We comply with the collective agreement for the financial sector, which encompasses all our employees.

Responsible employer

We are highly committed to promoting employee wellbeing, expertise and workplace diversity.
